5 Tips to Transform Your Health and Wellness

Maintaining your health and wellness can feel as if it's a whole extra job in itself, especially when trying to keep up with the busy pace of society. I found that keeping it simple, and staying consistent helped me the most on my health and wellness journey. I wanted the changes I was making to last a lifetime, so I made sure to start out with small steps.


Below, you'll find 5 health and wellness tips that were the most helpful on my health and wellness journey.

Tip #1 - Start Your Day with a Glass of Water


Think about it... the entire human body is made of 66% water. Muscles are about 76% water, lungs are about 90%, and most importantly, the brain is made of 95% water. It's very easy to see why water and hydration play such a big role in living a healthy lifestyle.


Your body goes quite a few hours without being hydrated while you sleep. Drinking a full glass of water in the morning will aid in digestion, help to flush out toxins, enhance your skin health, and give you a natural boost of energy.



Tip #2 - Mindful Morning Gratitude

Starting your day with gratitude will help you to have a more positive outlook on your life as a whole. You will begin to notice the blessings that surround you and be able to create balance in your day to day life. Studies have shown that incorporating daily gratitude practice can reduce depression and anxiety, relieve stress, and even improve sleep.

Tip #3 - Take Your Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements


Vitamins and minerals will help to boost your immunity, improve your gut health, enhance your skin and hair health, aid in your brain function, support a plant based diet, improve your sleep cycle, and aid in healthy aging.

Tip #4 - Mindful Movement


Mindful movement allows for you to check in with your body and get moving in a way that will release stagnant energy, lower stress, improve your level of focus, and strengthen your mind-body connection. Research has shown that mindful movement can also improve your emotional wellbeing.


Beginners yoga is a great way to get started with mindful movement.


Tip #5 - Spend Time Outside


Lastly, spending time outside is an easy way to enhance your health and overall well-being. Time spent outside can generate feelings of calmness, joy, and creativity. Regular access to green spaces has been linked to improved concentration and attention, while lowering the risks of depression.
